Two types of insurance have been designed to cover the different challenges faced by hotels.
1. Cancellation insurance, which is included in the rate and helps to boost the sale of full or partial non-refundable rates and reduce cancellation rates, but also helps to enhance differentiation by improving your value proposition.
Optional insurance complements the hotel's offer and allows the customer to purchase it during the booking process, without the need to do so independently. This generates greater confidence and peace of mind in the guest, which in turn helps to increase the conversion rate.
Within these 2 modalities, we offer different types of insurance depending on the hotel's country of origin , which differ mainly in the coverage included and its limits.
Thanks to the integration developed with our strategic partner, offering an insurance product through the hotels' direct channel has become a simple and fast process, and most importantly, without affecting the hotel's operations. Each hotel's insurance offer will be fully integrated into the booking engine.
If a client wishes to cancel his/her reservation due to any of the causes of cancellation included in the insurance coverage, he/she must contact the hotel directly to proceed with the cancellation. The hotel will manage the cancellation of the reservation by applying the corresponding penalty according to its policy. This information will be automatically notified to Intermundial, without the hotel needing to take any additional action.
The client must submit the claim through the Intermundial App or Client Area, where he/she must upload the requested documentation justifying the cancellation.
The hotel has access to a leading travel insurance management platform where they can consult the insurance sold by hotel, obtain reports, view commissions generated among many other functionalities. Insurance sales can also be monitored through Roiback's CRS.
Depending on the type of insurance and coverage, the price will be one or another and also varies by country of origin of the hotel. There are no activation costs, contractual links or software management costs.
