New Price Display: Innovation for a Leading Booking Engine

At Roiback, we firmly believe in the constant improvement of our solutions, even those that have positioned us as industry leaders for years. The redesign of our price display, a key component of Roiback's award-winning booking engine, demonstrates our ability to innovate without compromising our mission to generate conversions and satisfy our customers.
Main new features
We redesigned the visualization of prices and rates in the engine, improving interaction with users:
New price display:
Prices are now displayed linearly (vertical carousel), with the option to collapse and expand rates for greater convenience. No tabs, everything at a glance.
You can prioritize them, display them by price, and offer alternatives (collapsing the rates) to get a more compact view and open them in a single click.
This redesign significantly improves the visual and interactive experience, allowing users to easily explore the different options available.

Updated filter design
Now the filters are displayed more clearly and with a more modern design. They are divided into two parts:
- Left side where they are displayed in square format: Rooms, Experiences, and Hotelverse (if contracted).
- Right side where they are displayed in linear format: Room type, board basis, and currency.

Display of exclusive LOYALTY Rates:
For those hotels that want to work with exclusive loyalty rates, we have incorporated the possibility of highlighting this type of rate in a more attractive and visual way.
- Exclusive loyalty rates are loyalty rates that do not depend on or derive from any other web rate, where a special price is offered for registering or being a loyalty member.
These rates are displayed as a rate line, integrated within the price carousel, but with an exclusive design.
This approach reinforces loyalty programs, improving their visibility, attractiveness to customers, and expands the range of revenue management strategies.

Why such a significant change?
The design of our price display has provided excellent results, becoming a standard of usability and trust for hoteliers and users. However, we continue to invest in technological evolution and follow the evolution of the market, which presents us with new challenges that require secure and reliable responses.
- Improve usability and conversion: Today's travelers demand more intuitive interfaces adapted to diverse devices. Our goal is always to simplify the booking process to build trust and encourage conversion.
- Technological competitiveness: This redesign aligns us with current market standards and allows us to maintain our commitment to continuous improvement of our solutions.
- Preparation for the future: The new technological base will allow us to incorporate advanced functionalities in the coming years, increasing the value we offer to hotels.
Testing and initial results
Innovation is not improvised. Each proposed change has been subjected to A/B tests to measure its impact on conversion metrics.
Now, in the first phase of implementation, with several chains already in production, initial analyses are showing significant improvements with values around +8% in Bookings and Revenue and +13% in Room nights. Furthermore, this technological improvement is allowing us to enhance performance and reduce the loading times of the engine pages by approximately 60%.
A change resulting from collaborative work.
This project, developed throughout 2024, is the result of the collective effort of multiple teams within Roiback who have worked intensely to develop and implement this new solution.
Structured in phases throughout the project, different improvements have been deployed, such as the initial technological migration and update, which have allowed us to reach the current point where the complete redesign is being implemented with listed rates, new filters, specific design to incentivize loyalty programs, among others.
Towards a global implementation
The deployment will continue during the first quarter of 2025, making this improvement available soon to all our clients.
