Roiback and HBX Group reinforce their commitment to international expansion and strategic excellence in the MEAI and APAC regions with the addition of a new Regional Commercial Head MEAPAC.
We are delighted to introduce Iñigo Mallona, an experienced business strategist, passionate about driving revenue through hotel technology, bringing deep expertise in Distribution Channels, eCommerce and SaaS solutions.
He holds a Global-Local MBA and has developed his professional career in the EU and MEAPAC regions. Throughout his career, Iñigo’s latest main responsibilities have been leading the strategy and execution of sales and marketing plans, expanding the business into new models, channels and markets.
His experience in travel-tech started in Hotelbeds where he held several positions in contracting, regional rate structure implementation and revenue maximisation at a hotel chain level in the MEAPAC region.
For the last 8 years, his domain expertise has been in the hospitality digital solutions and specialised in the direct channel space such as at D-EDGE, part of Accor Group, as Director of Sales and Country Head.
During these last 2 years, his specialisation has been in the guest experience journey at True Digital group, a telecom-tech conglomerate in Asia, as Regional Head Asia-Pacific, offering solutions for guest engagement and ancillary services ordering in the guest pre-arrival and in-stay stages.
Iñigo states: “In recent years, more travellers have chosen to make direct bookings. Bookers are more aware of the cost-effectiveness of booking through the brand’s website while looking for more direct communication and personalised experiences. Roiback, part of the HBX Group, has innovative solutions for hoteliers to make their direct channel even more attractive and convincing in every step of their guest booking journey – from search, book, engage and loyalty”.
