Roiback participated in the conference titled“The Balearic Islands: A Land of Opportunities for Strategic Projects,” held recently at the CEOE headquarters in Madrid and organized by CAEB. The event brought together representatives from institutions, business, and the economic sector to discuss competitiveness, investment, innovation, and internationalization.
The session was attended by the president of the Government of the Balearic Islands, Marga Prohens; the president of CAEB, Carmen Planas; representatives from CEOE; as well as executives and business leaders from companies with a strong track record of growth in the Balearic Islands.

Cristina Perea, CEO of Roiback, participated in the panel discussion titled “Success Stories in Business in the Balearic Islands,” moderated by FI Group by EPSA, alongside Carmen Sampol, CEO of Sampol, sharing the growth and internationalization experiences of two companies founded on the islands that now have a global presence.
During the conversation, Cristina Perea reviewed Roiback’s evolution from its founding in Mallorca to becoming a hoteltech company that currently works with more than 3,000 hotels in over 50 countries, helping hoteliers boost their direct bookings and strengthen their relationships with guests. She also highlighted the role of the Balearic Islands as one of the leading international hubs for tourism expertise—an environment that fosters innovation, collaboration, and technological development in close partnership with some of the world’s most prominent hotel companies.
The presentation also provided an opportunity to reflect on the factors that have driven the international growth of many Balearic companies, including the global orientation of the islands’ business community, the ability to adapt to different markets, and the importance of talent as a driver of development and competitiveness.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to analyze some of the factors that will shape the evolution of the Balearic Islands’ business ecosystem in the coming years, ranging from attracting investment and talent to fostering innovation, technology, and economic diversification. In this context, institutional and business representatives agreed on the importance of strengthening public-private partnerships to promote a more competitive environment and facilitate the development of strategic projects for the Balearic Islands.
The event also featured a presentation by Antoni Costa, First Vice President and Regional Minister of Economy, Finance, and Innovation for the Government of the Balearic Islands, who introduced the new framework designed to promote and streamline the processing of strategic projects on the islands. This initiative is aimed at strengthening the Balearic Islands’ ability to attract investment, boost business competitiveness, and accelerate the development of strategic projects for the archipelago’s economic future.
